The blinds are placed on the left of person incharge of the dealer button. The one holding the blind position has to initiate the game with forced bets. There is another blind known as small blind the one who is first from left to the dealer. Half of the amount of the least bet is contributed by the small blind. If the minimum bet decided is $8 then this person will contribute $4. And to the left of the small blind would be the big blind. This person is responsible of contributing the whole amount of the minimum bet. Following the above case, the big blind will contribute $8.
